Here are some links to my favorite local musicians (and friends). Hire them first!
JAZZ
The Dangerous Martini Quartet with vocalist Tre Taylor
The very best Bay Area jazz quartet with vocalist Tre Taylor and (my) eye candy guitarist Doug Wendt, Mark Petrella on bass, Rueben Salcedo on sax and Dean Cook on drums. Check them out at Rasselas jazz club in San Francisco and at Armandos in Martinez.
CLASSICAL
Doug Wendt of the Dangerous Martini is also a classical guitarist who performs regularly in the Bay Area as a solo artist. Listen to Doug's music here or watch him peform at Haute Stuff restaurant in Martinez

Gordon Roland is another classical guitarist active in teaching, organizing concerts and collaborating with many other musicians- check out his website at http://www.guitarwork.com

Pawel Walerowski, the cellist who has accompanied me on many gigs, is classically trained and often performs solo in the Bay Area. He can handle anything from baroque to jazz! Listen to Pawel play Gabriel's Oboe

ROCK and ROLL
Ken Cooper is a Walnut Creek area icon and you can hear him on any given weekend in many different combinations: solo, duo with several different musicians, or with the trio AKA featuring my friend, the one and only drummer Les Bloch. Ken also runs a recording studio that has produced CDs for many local artists. For more information, e-mail Ken at Stratmac@astound.net
